Hello! My name is Kelsey Bolkema. I was born and raised in a Christ-centered home in Lynden, WA. God plucked me from my hometown and sent me off to Dordt College in Iowa where I received a double major in Psychology and Social work. During my college years God instilled in me a heart for serving His children. I became heavily involved in an after school program for teens and volunteered for a crisis hotline. After college, I married my college sweetheart and together we moved to Bradenton, FL where his family resides. It was at this time that God opened the door and my heart to child welfare. I was a Dependency Case Manager in Manatee county for almost a year. God then provided me the opportunity to serve Him in a different role as a Licensing Specialist for West Florida Foster Care Services. I enjoy walking alongside my foster families and ensuring that His children are being loved on with Christ-like love. I am excited to see how God continues to use me and my foster families to bring glory to Him as we serve His children!
